It is just into Illinois and only on draft. Has anyone ever had it? Was thinking about putting on draft. Let me know. Apparently was first called River Run maybe??
pale lager wet hopped with Amarillo. It's VERY tasty and worth putting on draft if you can get it. I had in a bottle when it was River Run and I want more. Do it.
You are correct. This beer was bottled for the runners of the annual "Lettie"s River Run" that is hosted at the brewery, but re-named for draft as "Psy-Mon Sez". Cheers!
I think the River Run (Amarillo) may be a different hop than Simon Sez (I want to say someone said it was a German hop). Both are IPLs though. They had Sez on tap at the brewery for at least a month before the run and I think they tasted a bit different, but maybe it was a freshness thing or some other factor.
My bad...I shouldve made my post more clear... I was told at the River Run that it was the same beer and that has been established already. I was tagging simonpeter to get confirmation on the hops used and possible reasons for variation in the taste between the bottle and tap. Thanks for the reply, sorry for the confusion I caused.
@WI-Beer-Man, I am glad you guys liked the beer! It was hopped with Magnum and Amarillo, and then dry hopped with Amarillo. There are endless reasons for difference in taste from bottle to tap, ranging from your pallate on that particular day, to how fresh the beer was. I suggest drinking this beer ASAP to anyone who has a bottle still laying around.
