Central Waterss BBS

Stopped here yesterday night on the way to see a buddy play Shooters pub for his 2013 World tour. Dropped about $100 on some Ten Fidy, CW BBS, 2011 and 2012 CW Y2K, Boris and a bottle of something from the Bruery.

Nice store and a nice employee.

 

MGM at 98th and Lyndale still had some BBS last night.

 

Any sightings of the CW BBS in west metro last couple days?

 

Got some at Excelsior Vintage last night. Had a few 4-packs left.

 

I saw some at the the Haskells in chan but that was last Thursday.

 

Finally hit Rochester. $14.99 for the BBS or BBBW. I am not into the barleywines yet so only got the BBS.

 

Haven't managed to grab any of this year's BB Stout, any still around town? If not, I'll put up a 2012 Abyss for a four pack.

I'd march back there and get that barleywine for when you are, it ages so amazingly I've been praying to see the BW here in the TC area but either no one's announcing it or we haven't seen it. I'm tempted to drive to Hudson just to buy that thing.

 

Only the Non-Barrel BW is currently out. The Barrel version gets released in a couple weeks. Both are good, but most prefer the barrel version obvisously

 

I've heard the Twin Cities metro area didn't really get any of the Cosmic Charlie's, but just outside of the metro it can be found. The label says it has been aged a year already.

 

I found one 4 pack of Cosmic at, I believe Sid's, if not it was in the Plymouth area. Yummy but hot, I'll sit on 3. Like I said above, I haven't seen a lot of BBS and I've been looking, and buying, I have 8 left. Loooove it. Gonna get bashed, but I'm one of those who prefer it to BCBS. I feel that it is more ready to drink and more drinkable. A trade for Abyss is enticing, but I don't believe I'm game.

 

Anyone know if the Bourbon Barrel Cherry Stout is on the release schedule this year?

Haven't heard a peep and I thought it was out in Dec./Jan. last year.

 

Found the bbs and barleywine at Northgate liquors in Blaine. Still had a few of each left. Might be up for the abyss trade. Ill hit you up next weekend if I can't get more abyss in duluth

I haven't heard much either, odd. My first reaction was cherry crop being so pour, but who knows when they add the cherries, and if they had it aging with last years, etc...

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I'm wondering if anyone has seen BBS around lately? I'm looking to find one more quad of it, two bottles for trades and two bottles for my belly.

It seemed to really fly off the shelves this year. I saw it for $11 at cellars and then about $15 everywhere else. Should've picked up two when i had the chance.

 

Saw some at Liquor Barrel in NB last week. 11.99. If they are out now, make the trip to Hudson - Chicones had a bunch last Sunday
