Folks, if you're looking for an out of the way, unassuming and somewhat janky looking bottle shop with super-helpful staff and an amazing selection of rare beers? Check out Broadway Liquors in Pekin, Illinois. Just dropped in during my lunch hour, struck up a conversation with the owner about beer geekdom and was then hooked-up with Clown Shoes Pecan Porter (hard to find here), the last 2014 Beer Camp pack and a 4-pack of 2013 BCBS.

Check it out. Totally worth it.

Yeah but then you have to go to Pekin, and they are all racists there. Plus this should probably be in the great lakes forum, if any forum.

Apologies. I thought Central/Western Illinois fell more into the Midwest forum. My bad. And yes, going to Pekin isn't necessarily the most enjoyable trip, but the rewards make it pretty doable.

All good man! I'm just being playfully snarky, and I like to remind anyone who mentions Pekin, that they recall their history of racism regarding the Pekin *****s
