flavor wise, though, Lagunitas:Good "Craft Beer" =/= Olive Garden:Good Italian Food

I think you're ignoring the point now. In your view, corporate beer = bad, corporate other consumer good = not bad. Why is one corporate product off limits, when clearly so much else in our lives is also corporate produced?
I also prefer independent brewers, but I'm not averse to the occasional Lagunitas or whatever.

Some.of the things you named (phones, cars, appliances) are near impossible to.obtain without buying from major corporations with likely dodgy ethical track records.
Others like clothes and shoes and body care products take some effort but can be obtained from less morally problematic sources.
Food and beverages are.remarkably easy to obtain from.small independent operators these days. Its not hard to see how someone who wanted to support small business over global corporations would be more committed in a luxury item like beer than a more essential item like a vehicle (and maybe they drive an old car purchased from a small local independent car dealer?)

I get it man, reading isn’t your strong suit. I said “so common in my generation.” And it’s true...
