I found some old bottles while digging through a barn, They are yellowish with a lighter colored neck. corks were gone and a old timer told me they were old beer bottles. They look old and are baked so the outside is smooth like rough glass. Any idea

Sound like so-called stoneware bottles. There's a brief discussion of them at http://www.sha.org/bottle/beer.htm - which is primarily about glass bottles. Page down until your see this image:

I always heard them called "Ginger beer bottles" among bottle collectors, and branded ones which contained ginger beer are pretty common.
