Does anyone know if/where these can be found? I've seen pictures but I was wondering about availability. Any help is appreciated.

I picked mine up at Brasserie Cantillon in 2010 and 2011. I assume availability varies, as I didn't see any when I was there this year.

Some friends of mine picked one up in September, so they're still occasionally available at least.

They had them when I was there still in December. Expensive though, the smallest is 18 euro.

I assumed this was for draft lambic, how would you use this at home? Would you just decant your bottles into the pitcher and then serve?

It is indeed just for draft lambic... makes no sense to decant from bottle to pitcher.

Unless you like your lambics more still than carbonated.

Yeah but you could just go buy a bruocsella or doesjel or deCam Oude lambiek. Letting gueuze go flat is ******ed.

If you're serving several people something with heavy sediment and don't have the ol glass-pass technique down (I'm pretty good at it I must say), then decanting is a perfectly acceptable option. You don't lose much carbonation so long as it doesn't sit too long.

Drie Doesjel and Oude Lambiek are not easy to find. Also glad your taste preferences apply to everyone.
