It basically drops the hammer on all 'breweries-in-planning' in our state. The main benefit of beer fests before you had an established manufacturing facility, was to promote yourself before opening. Now, that can't even happen, at all.

Can a brewery charge say $1.00 per keg or donate back the "charge" ? Sure, $300.00 for the kegs, thank you and here is a personal check to your worthy cause in the amount of $300.00.

The brewery wouldn't be in charge of that; it's on the distributor. The buyer would have to pay full price for a given keg plus a keg deposit (whatever the respective distributor charges). That said, I don't think there's anything in the law that would bar a brewery from a "donation" to a given buyer for whatever they paid for kegs after the fact.

At least the SC government...Haley has been terrible in almost all facets of her job, that's for sure! Her idea of "smaller government" is to not fix a single road in the state, but hire more SLED agents???? She took away tax breaks from agriculture (traditionally the biggest money makers in the state and for the state) and "made in SC" products as soon as she got in office, in order to give tax breaks to tourism and especially Myrtle Beach, the redneck riveira cesspool of SC??? Its obvious our state is worse now than before she took office, and this is just another example.

    Sorry...off the soapbox
