As we all travel along our individual journey of discovery, ( which quite honestly is so fascinating) how do you begin to account for the added knowledge, variety and complexity of the styles and variations you have experienced? Simplistically, I am now enjoying a Rogues Chocolate Stout. Yes, it is still enjoyable, but over the last couple couple of years I have a had several others that equal,or surpass. As my experience grows so my " ratings" change. Should I go back and change my original, ratings?

Sometimes it's fun to be able to note the differences later when you're looking back.

I've had the dilemma many times. Going back to look at a beer I had months or even years ago and being surprised at how low or high my score was. I've changed my ratings depending on how far off they have become.

I look back and there are beers I have rated that I would change based on experience.
