I saw Channel Marker mentioned on The Athletic last weekend (shout out Eno Sarris!). Anyone been? What are they doing well (besides dope can art)?
Picked up cans many times. Their kettle sours (Siren) are great. Fruit changes up every release. They have been doing online can sales Thursday at 6 pm and the Siren cans have been selling out super fast. Their IPAs are good to great but sometimes a bit chewy for my liking. If they're ever open again, they have a nice (but small) family friendly taproom. Food trucks pop up regularly.
Just saw Buttonwoods Brewery down the road from me is doing a collab with Channel Marker and the search function brought me here. Funny I've never heard anything about them up until now. I'll be sure to purchase some cans once the beer is released (no details on style yet).
They have been doing a lot of collabs lately, they just did one with Spyglass that was really good. They are a bit one note with doing mostly Hazy IPAs and fruited sours but they hit that note very well. I would say they make the best Hazy IPAs and fruited sours on the North Shore. They are expanding in their current location at some point in the near future, so hope they have continued success and excited to see how they grow. Good people too, so rooting for them.
https://www.boston.com/food/beer/2021/04/30/essex-county-brewing-peabody-north-shore-beer This is about Essex, but it’s a cool little story and they mention Channel Marker. Brought me back to this thread because that name rang a bell.
