Since the closing of The OC/LA release thread I haven't seen a good place to talk about what's rapidly becoming my go to place in the OC Chapman Crafted.

All the beers I've had from them are solid (IPAs and Lagers) and for the most part are available in crowlers (25oz and 32oz) and growlers.

Really been digging Djent and Hello Again, usually grabbing a crowler of the latter for later

Really solid brewery. Great addition to the local community. Just tasted a new Red IPA from them the other day that I thought was really nice.

Been twice after having one of their IPAs elsewhere and really dig it.

I'm always hesitant about hoppy reds as I find they tend to come off maltier than I like. How does it stack up against their other IPAs?

Quite well, you get enough of the nice bready character you want out of a red, but not of the sticky sweet caramel malt overdose. Pair that with fruity hops up front and it's a win.

Also super impressed with Djent with that Bangarang coffee, awesome stuff. Most of what I've had has fallen into the solid-very good range, really encouraging given how young they are. Also a really chill space, perfect for post-dinner beers + Pie Hole

Anyone tried Searching for WIFI DIPA and Orange Plaza pale ale? Saw CBS got both and I really enjoy their brews. Thank You For Your Service last year was great.

Their cans are showing up in San Diego but I don't know anything about them. Worth checking out?

I would highly recommend grabbing a fresh fourpack of Searching for WIFI if you get a chance. One of the best West Coast DIPA shelfies around.

Already bought one because I wasn't sure about it. Thanks for the response.

also one of my go to spots in OC. I have a soft spot in my belly for pilsners and other lager styles, so to see not only one but two breweries in Orange embrace them is awesome. The standout for me, though, is Slow Riser. It's a red on nitro with coffee (rotating with different locally roasted beans). It's up there with naughty sauce in terms of unique beers that is worth trying.

I also appreciate the options when it comes to to-go packaging. Can releases are happening pretty regularly now with hazy and traditional IPAs coming out side by side with lager styles. It's nice that the 25oz option is available, but it's not really a better deal than a 32 oz crowler (usually $2 (price of a 4oz taster)).

Last bonus points- a lot of the people that work/run the tasting room are EPL fans, albeit Liverpool and Chevy United...

    Is that soccer?

Tried for years to get behind futsball but no can do. Although I think my all-time best sport would be a combo of my least favorites - some mix of soccer and golf where they allowed midfielders to run around whacking each other in the shins with rubber golf clubs.

Chapman is another story. Been to a few festivals where Chapman is always one of the best breweries but never made it to the tasting room. Really need to correct that oversight.

I've really liked the handful of cans I've tried that have trickled down here to San Diego. All have had a uniqueness to them that really helps them stand out among the sea of amazing shelfies we already have. Lower price would be nice but that can be said about everything in life.

Has the growler prices at Chapman come down <<<? And do they have crowlers these days? Went twice just after they opened and haven't been back. I thought the fill prices were ridiculously above average back then. Pour $$ were spot on.

crowler/growler prices are on the high side, but so are a lot of places now. I'd say on par with Bottle Logic. 4pack pricing is about spot on at $14-19 depending on the style.

Went last night. Their Orange Cream Milkshake IPA is incredible. Searching for WiFi West Coast Double IPA was also a stand out.

Very good, I have a can of the WiFi. I'll blast Tell It To My Heart while drinking it.

YES! Both of these are major pluses for me. I still hate that most of the best coffee beers in the OC are Nitro beers so no crowlers/cans in the near future.

Where might I find WiFi 4pks in or near Huntington Beach? My local doesn’t have Chapman Crafted stuff.
