    My girlfriend and I decided to drive over to charleston for the day from edisto. What are some good beer bars near downtown?

    Coleman Public House is my favorite. Then again, I am there at least once a week. If you just want local beers, head down to Bowens Island for dinner.

    This place is great because the have 4-6 taps as well where you can sit down and have a brew. They are a little off the beaten path and because it is a low tourist season, you can probably find some good scores. Great folks.
