Charlotte - 5/13 and 5/14

Not much to add that can't be found with the search (we have many threads on who/what/where for Charlotte) but I will add one thing:

Hit up the Whitewater Center Saturday night for River Jam. It's our cities most unique venue. Free concerts ($5 to park) on Thursdays/Saturdays that draws thousands of people. The tap list at the Pumphouse rivals most bars in town. The views are amazing at sundown. SO much other stuff there to do (some with a cost). Bike/Run trails, restaurants, food trucks, multiple bars, zip lines, ropes coarse, SUP, kayaking, whitewater rafting, etc (or just sit around with a beer and enjoy). You can also go enjoy the WWC Friday night as well when there will be a much smaller crowd (but no band).

I don't know of anything else in particular "big" going on but there is always plenty to do with the beer scene in town. Almost all of our breweries are must hit IMHO. They all they have their niche that they excel at, whether it be the beer, the taproom, or the outside space.

 

Saturday at 2:25 Sugar Creek Brewing is releasing a sour bbl aged Biere de Garde (draft only) that sounds pretty amazing. It's right next to Great Wagon Road distillery as well as OMB, so you could easily make a fantastic afternoon out of those 3. Triple C (my favorite CLT brewery) and Sycamore are a few short miles away as well.

I'd love some fresh NE hops (what brewery(s)?). Anything in particular you're after? Have local stuff (Charlotte breweries, Wicked Weed, Olde Hickory), plus some Cigar City items. If interested I can send a full list.
