Heading to Charlotte next month for a wedding. Our evenings will be all booked, but we are looking for mid-day spots with great beer and great food. Brewpubs are always a plus, but places with a great selection of local beers move to the top of the list.

Plus if any of these places serve locally sourced food products, I would also move them up the list.

    Thanks!

Blackthorne in ballantyne is a favorite of mine. Plenty of local beer on draft, great food, great decor, nice rooftop bar, fair prices.

I don't live in charlotte anymore tho so its been a while

It depends on where you will be staying. Mac's is a good lunch spot; good food, good beer menu. Duckworths is good; decent food, great beer menu. Liberty is good; very good food, good beer menu.

Some amazing food can be found at Cowfish, kind of a fusion between a burger joint and a sushi restaurant. Doesn't sound like it should work, but it definitely does. They have a few local brews plus some out of state beer as well.

Great options, location does not matter, we will have a car.

If you're looking for good food and a pretty diverse selection of drafts, I'd suggest Mac's Speed Shop, Queen City Q, Duckworth's, The Liberty and Revolution Pizza (I know some of those have already been mentioned).

Also, depending on the day you might want to see what's going on with the breweries. Food trucks are often parked outside -- especially at NoDa Brewing and Birdsong Brewing (they're right next door to each other).

Just to let y'all know, a great BA from Olde Mecklenburg Brewing got in touch and set up a tour and the whole shebang for us.

Beer people from the south sure are nice.

Depends on where you are, Pizza Peel (it is smack dab in the middle of CLT). Very good pizza and excellent draft list. I finally discovered this gem after driving by it every day for two years.
