Hi, all....visiting Charlotte for a wedding. We'll be north, in the Huntersville area. I'd like to take some NC goodies home with me. What is my go-to Charlotte beer store? Thanks!

Up that way my first two suggestions would be Crafty Beer Guys and 201central. You should also find some good local selection at Total Wine. There are some more options up towards Cornelius and Davidson as well as the NoDa area of Charlotte depending on how much time you have. This website should give you a good idea of what other places are worth checking out: http://www.ncbeerguys.com/nc-bottle-shops/

Be sure to hit Duckworth's in Huntersville. I think they have 80-100 tap at that location. All solid taos, no bullshit. You can also buy bottles to go there. You will pay more since they are not a retail shop, but you will find beer on that list that was sold out at a bottle shop months ago.

Davidson Beverage Company (bottle shop), Ass Clown Brewery, D9 Brewery, Salud Bottle Shop (in Charlotte, Noda). Duckworths is good for drafts.

First, since you'll be un Huntersville definitely go to craft beer guys.
    then go to the city
Brawley's / salud are worth a stop for sure.

Good bottle co. is ok.. I live within 2 minutes walking and still would rather get in my car and drive to one of the above. The prices are nuts (most of the time).

If you're looking for a place with a lot of NC beers on tap (wicked weed, wooden robot, OMB, triple c, birdsong, etc...) The beer growler is cool spot.

My recommendation would be to drive to go to the craft beer guys, then drive to NODA from Huntersville and hit up salud.. grab a slice at benny pennello's (because who doesn't like giant slices) and make the drive to brawleys. hope that helps :grinning:
