MKE has a really good BBA Amber, Louies Resurrection. Only $8 a four pack. Idk availability for them but it's nice too if you don't want a big 10% BB Stout

Yes - obviously, you don't get all the nuance, but it's decent. Your base beer, as well as type of bourbon makes a difference. You can also mix it up and soak vanilla beans, or flavored coffee beans in bourbon and do the same thing. You can also use fresh fruit and press an IPA through it. It's basically a poor man's Randall.

This thread has given me a new outlook on Hoppin Frogs price point. Looking at everything listed here as cheap beers in this category means HF would be expensive at their price point. Given the quality of those brews is a lot of crap (not all, but a good number of them) has me thinking differently about this. So now I will consider Hoppin Frogs price point the lowest price point in the top tier of BA beers. I'm not going to say that they are the best beer in the top tier of BA beers. I can say they have the lowest price point in the top quality BA beers out there.

I think this was a "beer that needs no introduction" kind of link. I figured it was coming before I even started reading the thread.

Id say save your money. Rather than buy a cheap average barrel aged beer, find some quality imperial stouts with value. Stone bombers are always fairly cheap around me. Espresso imperial stout was like $5.99 last i saw! Old Rasputin is good value etc. there are lots. id rather drink well crafted beer than jump on the bandwagon (reference to a nearby post) and drink a shitty barrel aged one.

Regular Santa's Little Helper is $6.50~$7. The BA version is around $16.

Heavy Seas Siren Noire, I paid ~$6 for a bomber of it and it was pretty good

bourbon county just got released and in many places it is onnly 18.00 a four pack and is one of the top BA stouts made. at 4.50 a 12 oz it is hard to argue with that, when many other ones are typically 2.00-4.00 a 12 oz, adn the quality suffers significantly.

Glad I didn't pick one of these up the other day. Indian Wells is a sh*thole. So I figured their beer would be sh*t too.

Top Sail Bourbon Barrel (imperial porter) is typically less than $10 for a bomber.
