I haven't seen either of the new Bourbon county releases in the stores around la crosse, except for you can buy a bomber of bcbcs for $40.00 dollars at the bodega brew pub which is absolutely ridiculous

I was under the impression that Beechwood Sales and Service out of New Berlin was the distributor for Goose Island throughout WI. If I'm wrong, than ignore this post (and let me know who else distributes GI in WI ).

If Beechwood is the distributor of GI for Madison/LaCrosse/Eau Claire/Hudson, then I can tell you that they received 6x 12 bottle cases of Cherry Rye. Not sure exactly how much BCBCS they received, but they both came at the same time, and were delivered to retailers at the same time (at least around Milwaukee they did). Both were allocated based on sales of other GI products. My impression was that half of their shipment would be going to Madison, and the other half, Milwaukee.

also if its a bomber of bourbon county selling for $40, its likely (if not certainly?) '09. Not saying this makes it a great deal but a little more understandable as it has been aged over 3 years and is pretty rare now.

As far as I know, this round of BCBCS is the first time it has made it to WI. Might have come in '10 (assume that's what you meant, and not '09). I know for a fact that it didn't come last year (no Bramble either).

I just think the $40 is just someone jacking up the price tag.

I'd gladly pay $40 for a bomber of '09 bcbs. BCBCS? Not so much.
