Cherry Stouts - NYC Metro

    The title says it all. I am only an occasional stout drinker but do enjoy one as a nightcap beer and would like to try a cherry stout. I would like to save a little research time by getting suggestions here. My thanx in advance to all who reply.

    Bell's Cherry Stout the first to come to mind here and probably would hit the NYC market but is a winter beer. Only other semi-local option I can think of is Blue Point Sour Cherry Stout. Not my fave.

    I've noticed Harpoon's Black Forest still on the shelves in Westchester, but haven't tried it.

    I checked for you, and DeCicco's Ardsley has the Harpoon.

    Thanx. I'm going to the Brewster location this evening for Ninkasi night. Just for shits and giggles, I'm going to check there but if it isn't, I'll probably take a ride.

    Bluepoint Sour Cherry Imperial stout. It's seasonal but I've seen it still on shelves on LI.

    I have three bottles of Bells Cherry Stout that I have been sitting on for several years. I work in NYC. I will trade you these for whatever you have of equal value....so as along as it is not something I can buy in NYC.

    Or maybe you're not that inclined
