I am getting ready to order the supplys to make cherry wheat beer for my gf and wanted to run it by some of you before I order it up. I'm farely new to this so I want to make sure I am on the right track before I brew something that is undrinkable.

1/2 # crushed crystal malt (steeped 45 mins)
    3# light malt syrup
    3# wheat malt syrup
2oz German hallertau hop pellets (Boil 1 oz for the whole hour add 1 oz w/ 15 mins to go.)
24oz can of cherries pureed (added 10 mins before flame out.)
    wyeast 3333 German wheat yeast
Northern Brewers fast pitch yeast starter

I plan on letting the beer sit on the yeast and cherries for 2 weeks in the primary before transferring to a secondary fermentor for another 2 weeks.

It looks drinkable. If you put the cherries in the primary, you can just let it ride for 3 weeks and skip the secondary. You won't be getting a lot of cherry flavor from 24oz., but it could be enough to be noticeable. Some people use 5#-10# of cherries.

Thanks for replying. I'm gonna double the amount of cherrys in the recipe.
