Traveling to chicago in a couple weeks, specifically greektown / loop neighborhoods and possibly wrigleyville / boystown neighborhoods, and wondering if anyone can recommend a good bottle shop or two to get some beers not available to me in good ol' michigan.
Hit up the Walgreens in Greektown. They're list is regularly updated on beermenus. Here ya go: http://www.beermenus.com/places/5877-walgreens-greektown
Binny's (several locations), West Lakeview Liquors, Fischmans Liquors, and Bottles and Cans are great places to go. There's many more but that's a good start.
Great, thanks for all the suggestions. The plan is couple sixer mixers, but I fear that may quickly get out of hand
Capone's on Elston is a must go. Always stocked up on local beer. Then swing around the corner to the revolution brewery/tap room. A WIN WIN!
Whenever anyone mentions that store, I remember the great Fou'Foune stampede. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/31034
The only problem with that Walgreen's is that I'll be way too tempted to get some saganaki/Lucky's/Maxwell Street. Who am I kidding? I'd probably get it anyways.
