Chicago bottle share?!?

    Hey Everyone!

    I have been contemplating this for a while and would love to get a bunch of people in the Chicagoland area together to have some beer and hang out. So, first I would like to see if anyone would be actually interested in this and then I'll get some details together. I have no problem at all taking the helm and think it would be a great time and a way for some of us BA's to meet and have fun doing what we love. What do ya'll think?????

    We have a share that we do on a pretty regular basis in the south loop if you want to join us...

    Thanks!!! I used to teach in the South Loop at 9th and State but stopped doing that a little while ago. While the South Loop is a bit of a trip for me, I'd definitely be interested in joining you guys.

    Awesome! Our next share is the 12th at noon. We keep track of people going when they add bottles to a spreadsheet that I have started. Shoot me a message with your email, and anyone else you might what to join us, and I will give you access to the Google Doc.

    Ahhh! Sometimes I wish I didn't work on Saturdays but I do!!! Perhaps if I change jobs soon that will open up. Thanks much for the invite though!

    I hear ya! We will be switching up the day as we go. There are others that want to join but can't on Saturdays either.

    Hi Keith, I would be interested in joining some folks if it was on the northside like lincoln square or andersonville. I have watched some of the posts of the south loop group and it seems like the focus was originally on whales which I don't know if that is still their direction but isn't really for me. Also its a little far for me and I would prefer a north side location. Thanks Keith

    Definitely keep me posted! For now, perhaps I'll try to get a north side gathering and see what I can come up with. Otherwise I do enjoy being in the South Loop and will absolutely be happy to bring some stuff for a bottle share down there! (I'm 5900 north :wink:)

    I'll probably give this about a week or two to see what kind of interest it gets before setting a date. Feel free to tag others on this as well. It doesn't have to be a huge gathering by any means and I'm not looking to have everyone bring giant beers either. Anyone and anything are welcome!!!

    I an in Evanston and would be totally in for something on the north side (schedule dependent of course!), especially cool if it was somewhere around the red line or Metra so I didn't have to deal with driving.

    Friday evenings are often the best for me since it doesn't cut into the weekend unless I am going away, but I could do the odd Saturday as well. Keep me posted!
