Chicago bottle share?!?

Anyone up for anything post-Zwanze?

 

I'm interested in sharing some bottles after the Zwanze event. I'll have some beers from SC/NC.

 

Just a heads up, our bottle share in the South Loop is on for tomorrow (Saturday, September 12th) at Gentile's Bottle Shop at Taylor and Racine. It starts at Noon and ends around 5ish. If anyone wants to join us just add the bottles you will be bringing to this spreadsheet:

I can never see how people can bottle share after an event like Zwane, DLD, Fobab, but I always see people suggesting it. How much can you drink? I usually am thinking about giving up beer for good after these events.

 

I'm 25, might as well take advantage of the last 15 years that my liver works a damn.

 

I didn't score a ticket to Zwanze, so I'll be fresh and ready to drink.

 

@5EKF was there any traction about a share today? I wont be at Zwanze either, but I would be willing to host a small group of folks tonight. I live near Lawrence and Western, about 2 blocks from the Rockwell Brown Line, easy all-night access to the 81 bus and, from there, the Red Line.

Only caveat is I will be at a Steppenwolf show until ~6, so would need to start no earlier than 730 or so. This is last minute, but I got snacks, TV for college football, and there's delivery options nearby. Maybe 1 or 2 bottles per person. Wasnt thinking of whales or anything - to give an idea of the "rarity," personally I'd like to crack my Alewerks Cafe Royale and Triple C BB Chocolate Pretzel Stout. But I've got rarer stuff if so inclined. If anyone's interested, let me know, I can shoot an address and details via PM.

Is there any interest in a bottle share in two Saturdays (2.6.16) in the Lincoln Square area, close to the Rockwell Brown Line stop? I was thinking an "alternative barrel" theme (i.e., other than bourbon barrels). Off the top of my head, I got a wine-barrel beer, a cognac-barrel beer, and a rum-barrel beer I need to open. Would be early afternoon, 3 or so, I'm thinking. Reply here or by PM. Cheers!

 

I'm off of the Irving Park brown line and absolutely in if I'm not working that night. Should have a few wine barrel aged sours to bring.
