Chicago Brewery Bracket (2019)

Marz and Solemn Oath being #1 seeds is really weird to me, especially Solemn Oath

 

Some choices were hard like GI and Burnt Shitty

 

It amazes me how I haven't even heard of some of those places. There are also quite a few I've never had a beer from. I think Mikerphone is pretty underseeded, as is Corridor.

 

Looking at the previous winners should tell you all you need to know....
2018 | Middle Brow
2017 | Noon Whistle
2016 | Horse Thief Hollow

 

Also, whoever did the regions did a poor job. One example: Twisted Hippo is North and East of Eris yet somehow wound up in the West bracket while Eris is in the North bracket.

 

How do they come up with these seeds?

 

They dry hopped ur mom!

I kid, not sure, I think it has to do with prior year to a certain extent and maybe growth since then, etc

 

For real. If it were 2013 maybe, but Solemn Oath as much as it pains me to say, has been average at best the last 3 years.

 

Some of these breweries on here shouldn't even be in the NIT.
