The top of my list of places I need to go are Dovetail and Forbidden Root. As far as who wins I'll go with Pipeworks.

    Let's go beer!
I have to get to Around the Bend, Maplewood, Revolution, Penrose, and Flossmoor Station.
    Pollyanna, please.

Isn't Munster IN considered suburban Chicago? 3F?? Hammond IN? 18th Street??

Another big omission in my opinion is Imperial Oak. While they don't distribute they blow half those places away.

I would have liked to see 350 Brewing as well, but with so many breweries they can't all make it I suppose.

This was posted on reddit and i literally said the exact same thing. putting miskatonic on but leaving out IOB is a really odd choice.

I consider FFF a Chicago brewer (more or less), but I have a hard time considering a town in a different state to be a suburb of Chicago. So I can't fault 'em for that.

No, I'm completely oblivious after watching 35+ straight years of NCAA basketball. Perhaps you can [sanctimoniously of course] enlighten me.

Well, the teams that do the best are number 1. Goose Island is a successful brewery perhaps the most successful in Chicago. By pure numbers they might be the best. So they are at number 1.

So THAT'S why teams like Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, etc. are always ranked higher than Monmouth, North Dakota State, and FGCU. Thanks!

Not only is Munster a suburb, but it is closer to Chicago than many of the Illinois suburbs of Chicago.... Major oversight IMO. Kind of like leaving Duke out of an NCAA bracket...

Lol, Haymarket should be #2 in their bracket and lol at the West bracket for basically being the all star team of Chicago and only missing HA...

I love how some turn these posts/discussions that are supposed to be fun into "LOL whoever made this bracket (in this case) is so dumb!". Are you really laughing out loud about Haymarket being #5 and not #2?

    Nope. It's still crystal clear.

I can't believe I have to explain this, but my comment was more of a "Hey, surprise, Goose Island is a No. 1 seed" (as in "It should come as no surprise that Goose Island is a No. 1 seed" -- you know, kind of like silly, off-the-cuff banter that you would customarily read on a message board) than a "Despite my complete ignorance of how seeding in brackets work, I'll nevertheless ask: why in the world is Goose Island a No. 1 seed in a made-up, unscientific tournament of Chicago breweries that has zero effect on my daily life but which obviously strikes a nerve with some people on a message board?".

Ah, see I read it with the BeerAdvocate tint of "Oh Goose Island is number 1? What did they do, pay for first place?". I should go outside.

Noon Whistle vs. Pollyanna in the first round. A good one will have to make an early exit.
