    Any idea if they will release info on the breweries/beers pouring at the Welles Park festival

    Probably not. They didn't release any info ahead of time last year.

    Does anyone recall what the ticket situation was like last year for Welles Park? Was it an all-you-can-drink sorta thing, or was there a set number of beer tickets? Thanks!

    If I remember there were not tickets. I could be mistaken. After a while, all beer events start looking like one another. If there were, I did not purchase more.

    All you need to know is that Spiteful just announced that they're tapping BA Chocolate Caliente. That should be enough to get you through the door. :wink:

    Turns out I'll miss all the weekend festivities since I'm heading out to Michigan for the weekend. So, my consolation is to head to Sheffield's tonight for their local Chicago beers event. I'm thinking I won't be disappointed.

    And now I have to figure out which beers to take to the beach for the weekend. :grinning:

    I'll be at Sheffield's tonight as well. Shhhhh...! I hope the forecast is better for Michigan this weekend than Chicago.

    Just FYI, the FB invite for the Sheffield's event said Prop 14 and I'm here and the menu says Proprietor's with maple, pecans, and guajilo peppers. Appears to be false advertising.

    It IS Prop 14. We got 2 pours each because no one is here. The bartender informed me the menu was created by someone who had no real idea what they're doing.

    I've been to Sheffield's a million times throughout my life. The clientele they attract from Thursday - Sunday do not strike me as the type of people who want to drink Bourbon County Proprietor's.

    I ended up having 3. The fiance stopped at 2. She was pretty damn drunk.

    You're totally right, but I figured there would have been enough beer nerds out on a nice night to quickly consume 60 pours.

    Yeah, that's what we thought as well. The crowd was pretty much just a regular Thursday crowd. I'm guessing 60% of them didn't even know what Prop is. That was good for us, since my buddy and I each had 4 pours. :slight_smile: I haven't ever seen a keg of Prop 14 last 2 hours.

    Were you sitting on the patio? I saw a table of 2 guys drinking what looked like Prop 14 (it could have obviously been something else) but I didn't notice anyone else drinking a stout of any kind.

    Combined, we accounted for 16 of the 60ish pours. Ha!

    Yep, we were on the patio back by where the big screen tv is on the wall. We kept looking around too and noticing that practically nobody was drinking any of the big beers. Not cheap to drink that many Props, but it's too good to pass up!
