So I had all kinds of family commitments this weekend. Does anyone by chance know if the Beer Temple still has some Hill Farmstead left? If I go tomorrow I'd probably leave before they open, so I can't phone first.
I stopped at Bottle Theory in Elmhurst on Friday and they still had 9 of 10 drafts on, the only thing that kicked the first night was Double Citra. Looks like they still had 3 on as of last night. A little late but no, they tapped out of everything on Friday.
For any other folks late to the party like me, Hopleaf has 11 still on tap plus their NA beer. Mostly Saisons and a couple porters.
Someone said the distributor mentioned only to expect 2 splash drops a year. Limited to draft only I would guess they can move that fine.
12 Hill Farmstead beers still on draft at the Hopleaf as of Tuesday evening. 2 stouts, 2 porters, one pilsner & lots of Saisons / Farmhouse / Belgians. 0 IPA's. The earth is healing!
Hooray! The porters are all awesome. (Ignore the part where they had multiple HF IPA last weekend and they must have kicked first)
I'm glad the IPAs kicked & everything else stuck around. It's kind of like a reverse commute, in a way...
Hill Farmstead Susan is $6 for 16oz! Prestige on Cass in Westmont. Guy said he refused to charge the more common $1/oz for this. I thanked him.
That little speakeasy bar in the backroom of the liquor store is a pretty cool find.....I wish they sold more of their stuff as singles. They have a stellar selection.
