Drinking Trillium in 2023 Hellinois is like putting ketchup on your Chicago Style Hot Dog- you can do it, but you’re still basically putting a processed meat dildo in your mouth.
A special place in hell. Disguising ketchup and serving it to Chicagoans is the equivalent of serving pork to a Jew or Muslim and telling them it’s chicken.
Really appreciating the recent Veil drop. Grabbed 2 cans each of Dirt Nap and the delicious Green Ferrari that I’m currently enjoying at the moment. Nice surprise.
The current weekly flyer for Angelo Caputo's grocery stores in metropolitan Chicago has a depiction of a hot dog with ketchup upon. If this was for a grocery chain with out-of-area ownership, I might understand. But Angelo Caputo's definitely plays the LOCAL card in its adverts.
To be fair, children under 12 are given special dispensation. Also, Caputo's is a great local Italian Supermarket. I've been going there since they only had one location, on Wrightwood and Harlem, back in the day. I'm personally more concerned seeing Oscar Meyer and Nathan's Hot Dogs. Fair Warning / Trigger Warning: The ad linked below contains a picture of ketchup on a hot dog on page 5 of 17. Beer Advocate, it's parent company Next Glass, Adobe software, ChicagoJ and the Caputo Family will not be held liable in the event of sudden blindness or other health issues, including death, suffered as the result of viewing this advertisement. Viewer discretion is highly advised. https://caputos-cms.locai.io/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2023/03/sneak_peak.pdf
I’m more concerned that they are labeled as “Oscar Meyer Uncured Weiners.” I hope that ketchup contains penicillin.
2023s according to my guy at Beer on the Wall. I might be wrong but think 2023 is the first Archaeometry release.
I picked up a Cantillon Saint Lamnivus at Beer on the Wall Elmhurst today. I don't know if I've ever seen a Cantillon drop before.
Chicago Keg Drops That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread (2023) People, Samichlaus Classic is on fucking DRAFT at the Hopleaf!!
Seeing this really makes me miss the great beer bars we used to have in St Paul (R.I.P. Muddy Pig and Happy Gnome of days gone by). I am also reminded of the hefty tab that was produced at the end of the night.
