To be fair, he said we could "drink it together" at a share. We'll see if that happens! Will report back .....some day.

 

Assuming you actually do get to share it with him, I actually like that option better. You'll probably end up sharing the bottle if you buy it anyway (or maybe not!), so you've just gained potentially the same experience without shelling out the $$. Of course, you'd probably reciprocate with some other bottle of your own at the share or something anyway, but it's still a little less $$ spent.

 

I said that EXACT thing to a friend I was talking to about it. I'd rather not have spent the 25 bucks hahah

 

That sounds like when I'm going out to Toppling Goliath or Cigar City and tell friends off the cuff that if I see any Morning Delight or Assassin or Double Barrel Huna I will grab some for them full well knowing the chance of that happening is nill. Sounds like your buddy got his bluff called "Oh, snap- you ACTUALLY have BA Darkness? I'm going to have to keep this."

 

For those of you who aren't there yet, Beer Temple has regular and BA Darkness in their post today.

It's Beer Temple , so I'm sure they had the same group of people lurking like they do for every limited release. I'm hoping they implement their loyalty program soon if only to weed out mules and diversify who gets the limited stuff.

They had just put out the BA Darkness on the floor. 2 and a half cases left.

Sorry the joy of finding this, for me 6 year elusive beer, might have overcome me. Let me make an edit to get back on track : $29.91 with plastic bag? And only three months in a barrel? What the? For that price it have better gone over Niagra Falls in a barrel.

Did Madagascar ever hit Chicago distribution? I checked comments a few pages back haven't seen any mention of it arriving.
