Chicago Stout Releases (2018)

Hey...you can't dog them in one thread and hype them in another!

That's my jealousy about being in Arizona and not being able to attend the Emporium event. Plus a little bitterness that Kentuckley is being released on a holiday weekend where people (i.e. ME) are traveling.

 

Haha didn't mean to dog them in the other thread. But we you mentioned with Kentuckley coming out (plus Mikerphone having a release) this is a weekend of tough decisions locally so ideally we'd have all the information. Sorry you'll miss out on it and even the locals will have some FOMO as you can't do it all today

 

Looks like BA Maple Vlad is all gone at Beer Cellar and Open Bottle

 

Based on there not being much of a line and it still selling out pretty quick Saturday I am guessing they didn't bottle as much of this one....also its really delicious, seriously good. I passed around a bottle on Sunday and everyone was blown away with the Maple nose and the taste.

 

For those interested, Binny's South Loop has 15' Vietnamese Speedway Stout on draft.

 

Prestige Liquor in Westmont got Maple Vlad today. Looks like the got a case.

 

Any other sightings? Just called and the case is down to 4 bottles already. Not worth the hour drive for me

 

Bitter Pops had it yesterday, I believe. No idea if it's still there.

 

So, did anyone else notice our 2017 Bourbon County thread disappeared? I figured it just got merged with the main one in the Releases forum, but it doesn't look like it did. We've always had a separate Bourbon County/Black Friday thread in Great Lakes, so was kinda confused about it.

 

Indeed. WTF? Looks like they've been editing that forum some too. At least our thread (so far) was on topic and positive. As riveting as it is, I don't really care to read about the BCBS distribution woes of people on the east coast.

Anyone want to poke the bear and see what's up?

Crazy. So should we reopen another BCBS 2017 thread or just keep the updates in this thread for fear the higher powers may delete it again?

We will need a separate thread for sure. If you look at the prior year BCBS/Black Friday threads, they are very dedicated to the Black Friday events and BCBS tappings in the region.

I sent a note to a moderator to inquire. I really didn't think any jokes/off topic stuff was occurring, but maybe I missed some posts. And, they typically just delete posts if something is off-color, so I'm still a bit perplexed by it. It'd be nice to get the original one back up.
