Crasher has been on Open Bottle's Beer Menu for weeks. There was a shelf full when I passed through last Thursday. I loved the '15 Crasher. Still have a bottle put away for another day.

    EDIT: Still on their menu...

I wasn't in the city - south and western 'burbs started seeing it right after Labor Day and I saw it in many other places the following week. Posted on 5/31 by Iron & Glass, 5/31 The Open Bottle, 6/9 BJ's in Oswego... #DistributionMakesNoSense #DistributorsAreCrazy

From my experience, that '15 bottle is not getting better and mine were not good after a year. I hope yours is better than mine, but I would drink it soon...

I may have to do that. The last person on here (don't believe it was you) that told me that Clown Shoes stuff wasn't holding up and I should drink soon was Bluegrass Billionaire. So I did. It was great. And ended up drinking the entire thing on a work night. I lived, and life went on.

Evil Twin's Imperial Biscotti Bourbon Maple Syrup Barrel-Aged hit Chicago this week - I got one today. It was .... pricey :grimacing:.

Where did you find it? You sure it was the Bourbon maple syrup BA? Because I know the Evil Twin/Westbrook Mexican biscotti hit this week.

I'm sure - I was also offered the Mexican biscotti break, but I had already gotten that one.

Edit: Sorry, missed your first question. Binnys on Grand.

I was not in Chicagoland, and I paid $12 for Michigan Maple Jesus which was a 12oz bottle. My guess, if this is a bomber, would be 30.

Not trying to detour this thread, but personally, I don't get the love for Evil Twin. Everything I have had has been crazy overpriced for how good I feel like it is, and I have yet to try anything that I'd seek out a second time. Oh, and F*** their ridiculously long names. :grimacing::rolling_eyes:

But, yea, I am curious on how much it was.

$27.99. I didn't realize the price until I checked out ... I probably would have passed at that amount had I known in advance. (Second priciest beer I've bought to date after GI Rare)

I got Michigan maple Jesus for $9.99 in NJ over Christmas. I personally thought it was fair considering plenty of other BA stouts go for that price that I like far far less ... (looking at you Avery).

    Binny's Grand is the worst.
    My experience with their releases:
    "Are you on the list?"
"No, how do I get on the list?"
"We no longer do the list...."

I've never had that problem there and never been on a list. You must be as likable in person as some think you are on this board.

Grand doesn't do lists ... however I know that LP and some of the others do ... It really depends on the store. Grand in my experience is actually one of the best at first come first serving their releases.

Last year I got Pappy Van Winkle at Grand no issues. Tried to grab a bottle of *blantons* at LP and was laughed at ... (for non-bourbon people its a solid bourbon that isn't common, but isn't hard to find) because Im not on their list.

I'll say that my experience at LP is much more extensive than that at Grand and I've been able to get way more stuff at LP than Grand. Never heard mention of a list at either place (and the same goes for Lakeview). Granted, you mentioned bourbon, so maybe that is a different story.

For sure. Grand is my go to ... I'm in there uh, let's say, a decent amount ... :stuck_out_tongue: never heard of any lists.

Tthe first time I heard about a "list" for anything at Binnys was the LP bourbon, but I've heard rumors of other locations keeping "lists".

Wait, Pappy actually exists?! I was under the impression that it was simply a legend about this mythical liquor of the past.

to be fair it was only the 12 year ... the 23 year is a mythical unicorn reserved only for the most worthy of customers. :stuck_out_tongue:
