Chicago Stout Releases (2021)

I bought Abraxas in the chicago burbs going back to 2013.

 

I thought the same when I visited Friday night. Perhaps it was the hypothermia setting in, but I got some mixed packs as well and anticipate good things down the road.

 

I thought it was available earlier than 2016, but I was never able to get my hands on any of it.

 

It used to absolutely fly off shelves.

 

What’s a decent retail on Abraxas?

 

Was $23.99 at Beer on the Wall.

 

That's about the lowest I've seen. Sal's Beverage World had it for $24.99, and it was higher at some other places.

 

Yeah I think Beer Temple did a release in 2013 and there was a huge line hours before release.

 

That a Binny's find?

 

It looks like some of the Binnys got a mixed four pack of the barrel aged dark secret. Two cans of buffalo trace, one raspberry tiramisu and one Irish cream.

 

Has the annual 2nd drop of might meets right mixed pack happened yet? Really enjoy those

 

Don't those usually happen in November/December or is that the 3rd drop?

 

last year we got some in January but idk if that is normal?

 

Binnys Evanston had some this week....wasn’t sure if that was 1st/2nd.

 

So I missed out on the dome reservations for the Old Order release coming up Saturday. Solemn Oath says they'll have fires going in the north end of the space, but I'm curious if anyone here has tried that out and how warm it actually is. I recently did some of the patios at spots up north and while layering did help, the cold still got to me at the end.

 

So BA Blot out the Sun certainly seems to have some mixed reviews. Anyone try it? Thought about hitting Binny's to grab some today, but then there's the prospect for more Ryeway...
