It's a new brewery that will open towards (planned) end of Q2. Will be run by head brewer Shaun Berns who previously brewed at Ram-Schaumberg location. Some of his more popular brews you may have heard of or had from Ram were Juicy DIPA, Side Note stouts (Smore Luv, Meh-he-coco, Gimmie-somoa, CocoNilla) and Chaos 17. He's an exceptional brewer (my favorite beers in Chicagoland area were brewed by him) and everyone is expecting solid beers again when More opens. But this place will have the biggest hype and biggest lines, no doubt.

Hey, Hey ... get you own damn thread :stuck_out_tongue:

I personally like hitting an area where I can take an Uber and then walk to several places - just more efficient that way. My favorite "area" in Chicago for this approach is around Half Acre:

Half Acre - Begyle (newer brewery) - Dovetail (newer brewery) - Bad Apple (great restaurant and fantastic tap list) - Bottles & Cans (love this bottle shop as they will break down 6-packs and sell singles)

I'll also be in the Chicago area this weekend. I don't have time to hit any taprooms because of work commitments, but I wanted to hit some bottle shops near Schaumburg or within the vicinity. I usually hit The Beer Temple when work stuff takes me into the city, however I am out in the burbs this go around and have no idea where to look. First, where should I go in that general area for the best selection? Second, what should I be looking for as far as fun local gems? What's on shelves literally right now that will be there this weekend? All suggestions would be much appreciated! I live in Minnesota and am from the area, but want to bring back a nice haul of hop bombs, stouts, and really anything that is well executed for the style. Thanks in advance!

What are the best breweries and pubs (with food) around Napervile / Lisle? Or between that area and O'Hare? I will have a car. Thanks in advance.

Just got back from Noon Whistle ... this place is a MUST VISIT! Had full pours of Mosaic and Lets Gummy ... both are outstanding and I can see why the Gummy series is so popular, damn good stuff. Prices are excellent ... top notch service ... Noon Whistle is definitely a Chicago suburb gem!

You have to eat at the Bavarian Lodge on Ogden in Lisle. Best tap list with food, hands down.

Agree. Standard Market Naperville usually has a solid tap list too. Food is good but pricey.

    +1 for the Bavarian Lodge!

Also, the new Whole Foods location in Wheaton has a pretty nice tap list. It's just north of Naperville / Lisle.

The Bavarian Lodge in Lisle has great beer ,great food, and a great staff. Whole Foods in Wheaton ,north of the lodge on Naperville Road by Butterfield Road ( Route 56). Warren's Alehouse in Wheaton is a half mile north of Whole Foods.

I enjoyed the answers posted showing the different directions and choices shown. With Woodale as the starting point and going south. I would try Ardmore Station Liquors and Lunar Brewing in Villa Park. Then Old Town Pour House in Oak Brook . Ending with the Bavarian Lodge in Lisle and Noon Whistle in Lombard. These 5 could be switched. Any opinions beer in this area?

Thanks, everybody, for the helpful recommendations. Warren's Alehouse could be the move simply because I arrive Sunday night and am only around Monday. Bavarian Lodge and Noon Whistle will not be open either of those times, unfortunately. Cheers!

Also, check out the beermenus site / app. Most decent places in the area keep their tap lists up to date on that site.

Thanks again for the recommendations. The food and drafts at Warren's Ale House in Wheaton were decent. The best beer was at Another Round in Downers Grove. I had Surly BA Darkness and Zombie Dust on tap. Both were excellent. They also had Yum Yum on draft and Pseudosue in cans.

I have a mule out there now. Looking for bottle source rec's in the Schaumburg area. Not familiar w/ IL liquor laws. Saw there's a Binny's. No idea about those either. Just looking for a bottle or two of BCBS and whatever other good stuff is readily avail. thanks
