I'm not exactly big in the beer scene in Chicago, but I have lots of beers and would like to invite 9 other beer geeks over to my place (right off of 90/94 in Pilsen, lots of parking) to drink a total of 10 whale-ish beers. Perhaps an opportunity for people that have not reached out in the community (like myself) to try or revisit some big stuff in return for your share. I have a BVDL to open, would hope that you could bring some of the following... Rare DDG CBS BA Huna (I can swap out my BA Huna if someone else brings BVDL) Blabaer DBDamon Other beers on this level of rarity. Hope that we can run this like a beer tasting and not a shitshow. 10 bottles for 10 guys seems like a number conducive to tasting all 10 over 2 hours and driving home safely. Or perhaps I am a total asshole and I have slighted someone somehow, which I look forward to hearing all about.
I could also add to the mix for this. I have some cantillon bottles as well as a DDG. @iadler might be able to put up something as well.

I am not going to play judge and jury on who comes and who doesn't (i.e. what beers are "worthy"). Anyone who confirms that they will show with one of the beers listed in OP has a vote in the others that make the cut. One thing that I want to be clear about, no +1's please. As far as timing is concerned, I'm in no rush to get this setup. Finding a time that works for everyone is of most importance. I'm thinking of like 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM on a school night just so this doesn't screw with anyone's weekend (restaurant workers also) and so this doesn't screw too much with anyone's work the next day. I will respond individually to all posters when I get around to it, but right now I hope that we are able to get some more people joining in with the listed beers as time passes.
Sorry, I read "where" instead of "when." I would like to do this after the new year when schedules settle. But the real answer is that we are going to do this when we have our lineup in place.
