I've made several IP Chicago offers for Rare, the most recent being the 5:1 below:

    Juicy
    CD5
    Birth of Tragedy
    Vanilla BA Framinghammer
    Coffee BA Framinghammer

I offered to swap from my gots as well (other HF, Cherry Rye, etc.). I got zero replies from IP Chicago (listed several other IP options as well, e.g. Grand Rapids). I can get this done with shipping, but before I bite the bullet, Chicago folks - why is this a non-starter? What would make it work? Thanks.

I am curious also. Would like to get one for my 50th BD...

I'm not from Chicago but I don't think the BA Framinghammer is really on anyone's radar aside from locals here and Rare trades for crazy shit usually.

Yeah, though I have seen it pop up more and more in ISO:FT. Also, those were just meant to be some very solid, brewery-only releases to supplement the Juicy/CD5 combo...plus another bottle. It's funny, the other thread is talking about how out of hand Juicy is, and I can't get Rare (in Chicago) with Juicy plus 4 nice bottles.

Hey BobCobb, just curious what original cost was on those 5 bottles?

$56 total, if I'm remembering correctly.

I'm not sure people know how good CD5 is as well, I didn't know until I drank it (came). Such a lot bottle count that I'm not sure how 'on the radar' it was/is either.

I think the the 3 HF bottles is a great start, but I would not include the framming hammer varients in a trade for a rare. Those 2 beers dont hold much interest in my beer preference for me to trade away a BCBS Rare. Just my 2 cents. Hopefully you can land that BCBS Rare! Good luck OP.

I really don't think there are that many bottles of Rare left for trade. It's been slim pickings for a while, but the vast majority of bottles still floating around out there are just for keeping at this point. If somebody wanted to trade Rare, they probably would have done so by now. The few that do trickle out tend to be floating it to land big wants.

Your offer is excellent, but it's not a "godfather offer", so you need to find the right match. Limiting yourself to one geographic area makes that really difficult.
