I like beer fests, and I saw this one coming up in June in Mundelein.

I never heard of it before, and it's only an hour drive from my house in Milwaukee.

I also used to hit the Barrington Brew Fest each July, but it seems to have been permanently killed off by covid.

 

It's pretty far out, but tickets are on sale for the Oak Park Microbrew Review on August 19. Anybody in the near west 'burbs who hasn't been to this should make a point of attending. One of my favorite beer festivals in the Chicagoland area.

Surprised nobody posted this yet but Beer Under Glass is only a few weeks away (May 26th).
Miss the Garfield Park location but I've been to a couple of beer tastings at Union Station and it's a pretty neat setting.

Love the fest but it needs to be in Garfield park. And won’t attend now that it’s a holiday weekend.

 

I might be volunteering there until 6. Just waiting on confirmation.

It was good, I didn't get to try much as I was volunteering until 6 and was outside from 4-5:30 handing out wristbands.

 

It is OK. I went to it in 2022. I have photographs from it.
I left that link in because it is a good move to occasionally hit Eventbrite to check for beer consumption events. Last June, I found an event held on the roof of the Godfrey Hotel which was a publicity campaign for a specific office chair being exhibited at McCormick Place during an office supply exposition. When you registered, you were given a code for free entry for four hours of free beer and hot dogs. The free beers (all packaged) included Samuel Adams Boston Lager and the former formulation of New Belgium Fat Tire. I have photographs of this as well.
So check Eventbrite. Check Brown Paper Tickets also, if it has not been folded into who ever bought it.

 

It was only three hours. Oops. This was the chair the event was promoting.

Here were the beers (including the old formulation of Fat Tire) and the self-made Chicago hot dog.

Big fan of Imperial Oak. Brew some pretty solid beer, also have a pretty underrated BA program imo.
