Chicagoland KBS sightings

Lots of 4/1 tappings in the city.

 

Good luck with the hunt. It's fantastic this year.

 

Word on the street, bigger allocations. Last year was turrible. 1 bottle limit.

 

There's a lot more beer geeks since last year too though. Many who have never tried KBS and will be on the hunt.

 

Also on the prowl for a wee bit of KBS....

 

I am slightly on the prowl. I would love to try/ get my hands on some but I figured I could trade some black note for some if worse comes to worse.

 

It'd be nice to see KBS and Black Note hit together.

 

And even if they do get it some smaller stores would probably want to break up the releases for a lot of different reasons, ie. more buzz, having to come into the stores 2 different times, different people might come.

I saw some behind the counter at Lundeen's.

 

Might be a tad out of FIB range...or is it?

 

So I went to the local liquor and asked the guy at the register about any new recent releases and he said nothing new. So I said thanks and walked out and the I see the regular kid who knows all about the craft beer outside smoking and he call me over. Then he says you looking for KBS, and I am like yeah, why are you getting some. And he said he isn't sure how many but he should get a couple of them. Then he says but you cant have any because you only come around for the new releases... What a bastard

 

I was jokingly referring to the one in DeKalb. No, no serious KBS sightings on my part.
