Would like to see Trumer Pils and Rothaus Pils available more widely than just Beer Temple. Don't make it over there very often.

I've seen Trumer Pils at Binny's and the like? Agree on Rothaus.

I grabbed 1 of everything they still had - raunchier, baltic porter, lager, and dunkel. They had sold out of the Czech Dark lager and rauchdoppelbock. Also grabbed some of their awesome glassware - the Alt stange and kolsch stange are absolute :fire:.

This is spawning an interesting debate in my head about my favorite Dovetail beers. I think if I had to put together a top 3 it would be...

    1. Kolsch
    2. Czech Dark Lager
    3. Lager

The Kriek and Gluehkriek would be honorable mentions.

    ...

    2. Lager
    3. Czech dark lager

They brewed it in 2018 ... If I remember correctly it was actually kind of an accident how they got it - something went wrong with a batch of their lager and they turned it into the zoigl (@OleWorm ?) so it was ultimately likely to be a one off. I had it on a wooden gravity keg at Monk's Pub and it was sublime.

Illuminated just put out our first cans of lager, Trust, and we're really excited to see what everyone thinks. If you are looking for a crisp pale lager with some fun styrian wolf hop accents, I've been crushing it a bunch this week. Stay safe and take care!

I don't exactly remember what happened that day, but we made the decision to use the coolship to actually cool the the wort to a pitchable temperature (usually, the "clean" wort just stays in the coolship to separate hop residue / trub and then is sent down to the cellar still at a sterile temp, where it goes thru a heat exchanger).

It was one of those, "What the hell, let see what happens" kind of things -- likely never to do it again -- but it was fun, and yeah, it turned out pretty good.

Thanks to everyone who's stopped by to pick up beers. We're canning some more CDL and Rauchdoppelbock tomorrow, if all goes to plan. We're down to less than 10 of us at the brewery, so we're trying to keep up best we can ... the support means so much.

Well, if things keep going the way they are, you might get your wish. Can't sell anything in kegs, so tiny kegs it is ...

Tell your local shop. It shocks me that more the drinking culture the beer temple has created doesn’t transfer to other shops. I mean, it makes sense that the suburbs wouldn’t latch on as fast, but it should, in theory, infect some other local shops around the stores in nearby neighborhoods

Bumping since they're now Covid-canning the kolsch. It is...fantastic. I already yelled in the Dovetail thread, but figured I should do so here too.
