HB IG comment says Binny's Grand will see distro for Blazed Orange and Smoke Filled Room. Mended relationship?

That's a good question... I know they pissed them off pretty bad.. and HB has horrible distro abilities... I just left and didn't even ask

Thanks Chris, appreciate the response. As Vicodin Tears mentioned I know you originally went 2 cases on JiL & then to 1 shortly thereafter. Knowing that there will be big demand particularly for the collab with Mikerphone my thought in posting was perhaps you would set a two 4 pack limit from the start so that those that perhaps can't make it to your taproom until this weekend could still have a shot at it. Could also cut down on those who are buying 1+ cases for the purpose of trading them to other parts of the country.

I've been an IL reserve society member since the beginning, love your beers & what you are doing & keep up the good work. Appreciate you listening to feedback & providing your perspective.

This jumped out at me as well.

Could also be more evidence about the confusion that Grand keeps talking about.

Hoping HB lands at Binnys Lincoln park this weekend as I will be here and hop supplies last if so

That beer was excellent. I dont know what you were expecting but it was fairly hazy and super juicy.

What sucks the most for us 9-5 Illinois people on these Transient releases is that it is near impossible to get home from work, hop in the car, and make it to Transient before they close. So when cans don't make it until the weekend, I literally have no chance to grab cans.

A good beer advocate takes the day off of work for all beer releases.

The cans I got were clear. Or rather, the beer was clear; the cans themselves were opaque.

Isn't this pretty much the standard issue with beer releases everywhere? They are released when the majority of folks are at work.

This is a really good point. If Transient were to stay open an extra 1-2 hours on Thursdays and Fridays, I bet they would see significantly more business from Chicagoans driving over after work. I personally have skipped a few releases solely because they close so early. The time change makes it tough.

I still don't understand why people are talking about a Michigan brewery in a Chicago NE IPA thread. Mods please delete any and all info on Transient ASAP... :stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, until it is definitively said that JIL will never be in Chicago again, I'm holding out hope!

"As Vicodin Tears mentioned" would be a great name for a punk band lol

I get where you're coming from but two 4-packs seems pretty low. A 1-case limit seems reasonable for the first night unless it's a much smaller batch than JIL or the line ends up being much longer than the last JIL line. Just my 2 cents.

My thought is the opposite - why would I need more than two four packs unless I'm muling or trading what I pick up? Honestly I have a WTF moment when I hear about people buying 1 or 2 cases of these releases. Seriously, people are drinking a case of JiL themselves??
