They will be releasing at noon. I will be heading over there around 1 to pick up a couple 4 packs, then back to work..

I get being annoyed having to field that call all the time. But, that's poor customer service.

Yeah, I had to deal with this sort of thing at a previous job, and it was frustrating. But I wouldn't have answered a phone like that, and don't have a lot of respect for places that treat their customers that way.

I would just reply "yes" all the time and if someone came in disappointed I'd say, "ahh you JUST missed it man"

Really? I thought it was great. The corridor Van Hazen was great also then I finished with a Stay Lit.

I think sometimes the order in which you drink certain beers, weird flavors are being picked up by the palate. I've had Doppelgänger from Tree House (one of my favorites) after some random IPAs earlier in that afternoon and thought 'something is off with this batch'. But I had it again the next day and it was phenomenal.

This is one reason why I feel ratings and reviews after a wide selection of beer is consumed at a tasting/festival is basically useless.

That's why the tru elite neckbeards carry with them a carton of plain crackers + room temp water AT ALL TIMES to take down between beers to cleanse out that palate.

I actually had my last Julius last night after leaving FR. It tasted maltier than normal. Wasn't sure if I held onto the can too long (about 3.5 weeks old) or if the other IPAs I had before it had ruined my palate. It tasted completely different than any time I've had it before.

3.5 weeks isn't too long to hold onto a can of Julius. I'd chalk it up to palate fatigue.

Mine had slightly more malt characteristics (5/2 can) but I'm thinking it was that 3.5 weeks but moreso the trading travel and how temps are rising at this time of year.

Love Corridor Van Hazen. As good (and I prefer this) as any of the beers I've had from Trillium.

Nothing really to add about galaxy bowl, think it's pretty good. Tasting those Belgian notes though. Think I liked mellotron more. Still a fan of this brewery.

Just opened a Gummypocalypse can. I prefer it on draft but the can is damn good. There's a... creaminess? I didn't get it at all on draft but I really like it

Pale Pauper is interesting. Good mouthfeel, interesting fruit flavor from hops, but too much back end pine.

A few sips in, and I'm already regretting giving my dad one of my 4 cans. Still not batch 1, but this is great. The only drawback is how little of this damn beer hits distribution.

For those who care, the beer is actually yellow, not the orange it appears. Looks much more "to style" than I expected.
