This is the beauty of our diversfied BA palattes, eh? While I have not yet had a chance to try Juicy and Obligatory, I have had Galaxy Bowl and found it to be completely smooth and creamy, silky mouthfeel with no discernible hop bite. I loved it for that very reason.

I also enjoyed Nimbus and Cumulus with Nimbus being my favorite. I have another can of Nimbus that I will open shortly to reverify my stance.

from the sounds of your review, I might like this one more than previous NE style beers. I like the hop bite.

I'd say it falls into the NE style, and it was a solid beer. Nice hop flavor and it definitely had some more bite than many in the style. My only problem with the beer was that bitterness carried into the finish and kind of lingered on the tongue in an unpleasant way that I hadn't really had form their beers prior. Still, I'd pick it up if I saw it again somehow.

I think i will dig it then. I like a little hoppy linger personally. I will let you guys know what i think when i drink it. as long as it isnt a complete yeast bomb like the hubbards cave beers ive had I will be ok.

Just cracked mine and love it as well. Not sure if those soapy/pithy off flavors I heard about faded or if I'm just not picking them up. Regardless, a definite winner for me!

I'll say it again. The NE-style IPAs we have here are good, but to my taste, they rarely hold a candle to the best from Monkish, Tired Hands, Tree House, Trillium, The Veil, Bissell Brothers, etc. We do make some very good stuff, but we're still, in general, a notch below all of those guys. That's to say nothing of the originals like The Alchemist and Lawson's.

That said, the beers we have here are pretty darn good in their own right, and it's fantastic to have such good options when I'm low on trade beers.

I just got a 4 pack of Grape Conversate from Other Half. I'm interested to see how grape does in these style of beers. If anyone has had one from anywhere else, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
