Whenever Kraj is asked about it, he defers to FFF, so I really don't know the full story. I just know FFF was involved. @KrajDoesBeer care to comment?

We did the first one... it’s on FFF to do the next. Only details I got to share sorry!

Stay Lit tasted like an FR beer to me, so it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't indicative of FFF's ability to brew hazy IPAs.

Let's not forget that Stay Lit was done with Todd Haug of FFF (formerly Dir of Brewing Ops/head brewer of Surly), but how involved he is on the regular brewing side at FFF is not totally clear. I wouldn't be surprised if he's primarily focused on the new expansion/destination brewery. It's not like the collab was done with 3 Floyds head brewer or any of the regular brewers there.

Have a buddy coming down to Chi town Saturday night. He will be on staying on wacker with a Binny's near by. Any advice on what to grab?

Tell him to ask someone what came in recently/this week. Look for stuff that says "limit 1". Ask if they have anything held back or behind the desk.
I got the last chocolate caliente and the last box of vsod by asking those same questions.

thought the recent batch of Nimbus is pretty good (4/4 can date). Marz The Yuice is very juicy, but a bit on the thin side. My bottle of Hubbard's Cave fresh single hop mosaic seemed to be oxidized.

What exactly did FFF contribute? Can't you guys just make a clone and call it something else without FFF involved?

I agree with SeanBond in that this beer really just tasted like an FR beer...but the best one you guys have done.

Current batch of Gummy Vortex is rather average. Maybe I will try the "roll the can method" next time I crack one.

Were there several batches of Vortex brewed close together? I had a pour of it at a bar in Grayslake a couple weeks back and it was fantastic. Much better than the more recent pour I had the the brewery. I then bought a 4 pack of it from Sal's and it was just like the batch I had at the bar in Grayslake. I don't think the cans have a canned on date, but do have a drink by date.

Yeah good question. Drink by dates are almost as useless as no dates IMHO.

No doubt! I know there is that picture someone posted awhile back of a Gummy Colada that was well before the drink by date and looked awful.

Considering a drive out to Dyer for the first time tomorrow. Anyone familiar with Windmill's can releases? In a perfect world, I'd grab some Raspberry Vlad and then head east to Windmill. But if their cans are a line-up/sellout situation that won't work. I appreciate any tips!

Well last week I went to Windmill two hours before closing and asked if they had any more Memes and Dreams left for their release earlier that day and the bartender told me that they sold out within two hours.
I’m actually contemplating doing the same exact thing as you but I’m not sure if I’ll even make it in time to grab some cans at Windmill.

As of recent, the releases sell out pretty quickly- I think the last release sold out in less than 2 hours. The Memes series is really tasty, but a little one dimensional in flavor and the $20 price for a bomber of “Triple Milkshake IPA” has me shaking my head. But to each is own and if they can command that price more power to them.

Thanks for the advice guys, I may have to sleep on this one. I really liked Razz Vlad at Fobab so I wanted to double dip. I think I would do draft instead of a $20 bomber. That's really pushing it for an IPA you haven't had before. Throw in that Triple IPA's have their own set of problems too.

Does anyone know if Windmill has branded glassware? Need one for my collection if so!
