Emperor Pulpatine from Corridor was absolutely awful. Worst beer I've ever had from those guys.

it is actually possible that printing out recipes and following directions doesn't necessarily equate to the same end product?

Looked like mudwater in that recent instagram picture of the flight.
I also haven't been back to Corridor in several months-- the last time I went it was $8 for a 10oz pour of whatever DDH IPA was on draft. Add $2+ for tax/tip and we're talking about an insane price out the door for a small pour, no thanks.

Doubt it. They're not expanding with new brewpubs by magic.

Yeah, Crab was good, and I enjoyed their recent non-hazy IPA as well (not Wizard Fight).

Their grisettes are always good, too.

I'm a little late here, but DryHop's haze game has been really great lately. Their anniversary beer Hour 200 is great.

I haven't been back to Corridor in ages because I hate finding space to sit there, and I hate overly busy places.

Singlecut is good but not great and not worth their exorbitant pricing.

I agree. Since they are happy with the size of the place I'd like to see them just open a few more Corridor taprooms throughout the city to alleviate that issue.

I don't know that they're happy with the size of Corridor, but I don't think they have many options at that specific location.

From a financial standpoint, I'm sure they're turning away money there, since that portion of Southport is just slammed all the time (I'll literally walk past after the gym on a Tuesday/Wed. night and the place is packed, especially now that the patio is open).

I saw the local craft shops are posting Singlecut cans today but your comment jumped out. What pricing is typical for them?

I got a 4 pack of softly spoken magic spells and it was $18.99. Not cheap but also dooesn’t seem unreasonable for a NE DIPA

I bought them out East (Vermont), and they were $21 there. The pricing here seems reasonable, so I take that bit back.

I also tried 18 Watt and thought it was very good for $12.99 and 5%. Low ABV hashes are tough to pull off, but this one was exactly what I was looking for.

I'll say this for SingleCut...they brought fresh beer on their first drop. 6/26 and 6/27 on the cans I bought on 7/3...

Wednesday’s ABV Chicago podcast episode will have Phase 3 vs Hop Butcher in a blind tasting of 6 beers. Definitely worth checking out when it’s posted

White Bouquet from St Errant is amazing. Way better than the Dialed Ins I’ve had from Trillium. FWIW the cans are better than the stuff they have running through the lines at More.

Tart Strawberry M43 is really great stuff. Reminds me of Strawberry Marbles a bit but without all the lactose. Really glad I was able to scoop some up.
