    Hey all!

    I recently moved back to Chicago and am hoping to start a conversation about great local Saisons and places to buy tougher to find Saisons. In particular, I’m interested in finding Fantome and haven’t had any luck.

    I’ve already discovered Afterthought and rediscovered Off Color, but I’m open to all recommendations!

    I don’t have a ton of experience with local saisons but Middle Brow, Whiner, and Illuminated Brew Works are the folks that come to mind first for that style.

    Not necessarily traditional, not that local, but have seen around here....

    Scratch
    White Rooster
    Saw some Holy Mountain at Capone’s

    Une Annee {local) though not sure if they make many/any unfruited ones these days.

    Only places I’ve seen Fantome (and I think very hit/miss or may have dried up) were Bottles and Cans and West Lakeview Liquors.

    Fantome is going to be tough to find in Chicagoland. Places get it in, but it moves relatively quick. Check Binnys - they get it and that might be your best bet. Talk to the beer person at your local Binnys and see if they can help you out.

    If you’re in the city, definitely check out The Beer Temple and ask for recommendations. They have some great European saisons as well. And if you have any questions about Afterthought, I’m more than happy to provide answers!
