A buddy of mine and I are coming down from Minneapolis second week of June for a Beercation to hit up 3F brewery and as many in Chicago that we can over a long weekend. Im wondering what the best local cans/bottles we could find? Ive been through Chicago once before for beer, stopped at a Binny's but not sure if there's better places for the more local stuff?

We're both big fans of IPA, NEIPA, Stouts, Saisons, Sours, really anything! I know im on the lookout for NEIPAs (who isnt?) and good Stouts. I think he's looking for some Porters as well.

    Thanks

Half Acre, Mikerphone, Pipeworks in Chicago. As long as you're making the trek to Indiana, might as well stop at 18th Street Brewing in Hammond. They just made a delicious NE-style IPA collaboration with Transient called Zero Discipline.

All good recs so far. Forbidden Root in Chicago. Watch the Chicago NE IPA thread for what's dropping while you're in town. There are lots of Chicago release threads to lurk on when you are here. Quickest way to get most up to date release happenings. Hopleaf is a great place to get food one day. Killer beer selection.

If you're going to be on I-80 East for FFF and a stop at 18th Street, you should hit up The Open Bottle in Tinley Park. You'll be right by 350 Brewing and Hailstorm then too. All worthy considerations.

I just came back fro Chicago and really enjoyed the Pipeworks Lizard King. Wish I bought more. The 4 pack didn't make it through the night. Next time through I'm stocking up on somme Pipeworks.
