Thrillist put together a cool 'alternate' CTA map, with each stop changed to the best bar within a 10-minute walk of the stop. I think this is a great resource for suburban-types or out-of-towners. The link... http://www.thrillist.com/drink/chicago/chicago-s-first-cta-bar-map-thrillist-chicago ...and the map itself: Let the debate on their choices commence.
Seeing that I've darkened the doors of over half of these places, I'm tempted to set aside a couple weekend days to rustle up a few like-minded souls to complete the map.
Moody's and not St. Andrew's Pub? Bar 63 (formerly "Hamil-teens") and not Norse Bar? Pssshhnah, pssshhnah!
honestly, i think all their choices were pretty damn good. especially in terms of beer options.... the owl, bangers and lace, big star, dmk burger bar, local option, hopleaf, haymarket, boiler room, and revolution, are all excellent choices
goose clybourns a short walk thats missing but otherwise thats very nice. Now can we just send a link to this when someone posts the 2000th thread about where to drink.
