    Hey there!

Headed to San Clemente, Oceanside or Carlsbad on Saturday. Looking for places that have good food & beer - that way myself and my son are both happy with a few choice places! Taking Metrolink down and will Uber to places if necessary!

    You input is appreciated!

    Pizza Port!
A far amount of arcade games. Dressi Ranch would be nearest to your destination. Toolbox and Belching Beaver about 5 minutes away.
Oceanside Bagby is a great spot as well as far as I know very kid frendly

    Carlsbad Village wouldn't be closer?

Pretty sure that I saw kids at Culture in Solana Beach the last time I went. Pizza Port within walking distance as well.

You are correct, Bressi wouldn't make much sense for you.

And although I haven't been there, does Toolbox even have food??

Pizza Port is a no brainer ... Besides their beer, love their pizza! Both San Clemente and Carlsbad locations should be feasible for you. Do NOT go to Artifex in San Clemente ... Last time I checked, they did NOT allow anyone under 21. Bagby & Stone in Oceanside should do the trick as well (although no food at Stone).

Depending on how long you're in the area for, I'd also recommend stopping by at the Riders Club for burgers (and some pickled beets). They serve beer there but the selection isn't that great, the main draw is their burger. And the great news is that it's within walking distance of Pizza Port!

Sometimes they have a truck, usually on saturdays they have a tamale guy, but a couple business doors down is a british place that has rather tasty treats, both in snack and whole meal form, they tend to close early though and they have run out of a couple things a few times when I went there.

Granted I usually went close to closing time, so that was really my fault.

My wife and I rode Metrolink from Tustin to Oceanside this past Saturday. Walked from the Oceanside transit center to Pizza Port Carlsbad (took about an hour) then rode the coaster back to Oceanside from Carlsbad Village to have lunch at Bagby (a 10 min. walk) and then over to the Stone store (another 10 mins) for a send off drink before walking back to the Metrolink (memory is hazy at this point but seemed about a 5 min walk). There were kids at all three places.

Next time we'll ride the coaster from Oceanside to Carlsbad Village rather than walk as it was pretty hot. That'll be another $4 per person. Unlike the awesome $10 all-you-can-travel Metrolink Weekend Pass, Coaster tickets are one-way only. Have a great trip.

Thanks @sankykid - we will be going from West Corona or Montclair probably. You can't beat the $10 weekend pass!

Rip Current San Marcos. They have a side room with direct TV and you can put on channels like Disney to keep the kids entertained
