2014 Chimay Blue just hit the shelves. Did a vertical with last year's brew

2013- A- Very good. Opens well still. Foamed over LOL. Very dark and brown. Head is gone within a minute
2014- A- Very good. Opens well and pours a nice head that stays. Same color as the 13

2013- S- Excellent. A TON of malt and caramel. Sickly sweet.
2014- S- Very good. Much less malt and caramel. Has a bit of a fig smell to it. Very "open" compared to the 13 which would be the carbonation bomb that is the 14.

2013- T- Excellent. Thick and rich. Super good. Blended well. Just balanced and blended well.
2014- T- Very good. Very airy light all around. Big differences in a year. This one is just hot compared to the 14.

2013- M- Excellent. Very thick very rich very good. Opens very well in the mouth. Lower carbonation than I remember.
2014- M- Very good. TON of carbonation. Not complex at all. Night and day difference

2013- O- Oooop there it is! A year is a long time for this girl. What a treat with one year on it.
2014- O- Very good. Looks like we have a winner winner chicken dinner for a case or two this year for the cellar

Going back to my review to pump it up a couple of points after this little experience. This IS why I started aging beer instead of more wine!

    Thx for reading

Love the Blue with a year or two on it. I have one from 2008. Anybody had one that old or older?
