Most beers are going to advertise that chocolate was added to the beer. I could name several stouts with chocolate flavor, but no chocolate in them. Narwhal, Ten-Fidy, Founders Imperial Stout, Storm King, and many more. You can drink stouts.

OP, there are so many other beer styles where chocolate will never be a factor... that I don't understand why you feel obligated to jump into stouts.

I don't drink IPAs because the strong hops generally cause significant congestion in me. Personally, I'd just stick with beverages that won't make me ill. You certainly won't run out of options skipping out on stouts.

The only stouts I can think of (off the top of my head) that indicate on their respective labels that chocolate/cocoa is an ingredient used in the brewing process are:

Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout (organic cocoa - listed on back label)
    Southern Tier Choklat (Belgian chocolate)
Rogue Chocolate Stout (bottle just indicates "chocolate" as an ingredient)
