My personal note on that beer: it's Terrible! 3 sip and it was a drain pour. 1 sip was like, wow this is so good. 2 sip: wow, this is too sweet. 3rd sip: my god, this is awfully too sweet!
Call me a masochist but i love sweet beers. If anything, this thread will drop the trade value Seriously, if anyone has a bottle, shoot me a message please.
I loved that stuff... I just drank my last bottle about a month ago. Looks like there's a few bottles lingering in the LCBO, but none in my secluded neck of the woods.
I will double check my cellar but I believe I have one available in it's original box. If someone is willing to help me with packaging suggestions etc I'd be more than happy to complete my first trade!
Welcome to your new addiction !! Packing is not that big a deal; ziplock bags, bubble wrap, styro peanuts and a good sturdy box are your best friends. Here is a link to an *extremely* comprehensive 'How-To' guide on packing/shipping 'collectable glassware'. Many of us keep it simple and just use wine styro shippers; I order mine from U-Haul. If you spend more than $50, then shipping is free. Just remember who the lowest common denominator is in this equation:
Thanks for that link! I've read about the U-Haul styro shippers before but had not seen that comprehensive guide! I'm sure it will come in handy!
That guide is great and is worth reviewing. If you are not sending 6 or 12 bottles (standard sizes for styro) then I would recommend the box-in-box approach. Patrick (papat444) is a great trader so you are in good hands should you both come to an agreement for your first trade.
If your trade falls through, believe it or not, I found The Chocolate Manifesto over the river in Niagara Falls, NY. Go figure, eh? I had to go to the states to find a Canadian brew. And then I paid duty to bring it back here! Yes, it's sweet. But it's delicious! Think chocolate milk with bailey's. Enjoy.
