Chocolate Rain Challenge

I have this OCD that I simply cannot leave a growler with beer in it overnight, so it must be consumed before the night is finished. I've had some stronger brews in there that I've emptied myself, because either the GF doesn't seem to like anything I get, or I don't have anyone to share with.

 

That's like two quarter pounders with cheese and a small order of fries. Obviously I'd rather have the CR.
So how is it? (EDIT: never mind, just found your review)
And how are you doing so far?
I'll probably tackle a Black Tuesday solo someday, but first I'll have to clear the following day.

 

Kinda seems like a waste, I doubt you'll really be experiencing/enjoying it at the end.

 

The next time the Chargers are in the Super Bowl, I will be drinking a bottle of 2011 Black Tuesday by myself over the course of the day/game. It already has lightning bolts on it in permanent marker along with "DO NOT OPEN UNTIL THE CHARGERS PLAY IN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!"

 

I drank over 90% of a growler of Town Hall's BA Scotch ale (whatever it is called) in one night. It's not because I loved it though. I was going to drink it with a buddy, but he didn't like the 10% he had so he gave up. For the record, I wasn't impressed by my 90% either, but I wanted a good buzz so I kept going. By the way, did you enjoy the CR?....and if you initially enjoyed it, did you also enjoy it at the end?

 

I don't have the "I can't drink this much beer at this ABV myself" type of issues.... I have the "I can't drink a beer this good without sharing it" issue.

I haven't had a lot of my "good" beers, because I'm waiting to share them.

 

Quit judging him stupac2. With a name referencing Pac I'm surprised you'd be against drinking whats approx. 24 oz of ~20% beer. Thats like drinking 8 shots of 80 proof liquor which your namesake did on a nightly basis.

I heard someone tried after drinking 3 other bombers a couple of weeks ago. There may have even been some YouTube videos of the attempt. Getting the Chocolate Rain open is apparently the toughest part.

I once heard about a fucking wombat slam a bottle of Chocolate Rain in a Tree Floyds Mugga. Just rumors though, I doubt there's video.

 

Hmm, I searched YouTube for the videos, but they didn't appear. Glad I bookmarked those back on my home computer.

 

I was actually thinking palate fatigue more than anything. Like, one night I drank 3 pints of Younger, and by the middle of third couldn't taste anything. My tongue was dead. I wasn't really enjoying the beer any more. My guess is that the hugeness of CR would do something similar.

 

i did more calories the day after districts in HS for wrestling. we stopped at McD, BK, and Wendys. ate a meal at each. I know I ate more McDoubles that day than total for my life. possibly a double whopper or 2.
