Chugging Craft Beer

I like to slam a few two hearteds to get my morning off right

 

My oldest outweighs me by 50 lbs and at least 5 inches. I swear to Gawd, if he EVER drinks my good beer from a straw again, I will take him out as I brought him in! Just kiddin. I love that boy. But I straightened him out on straws, and he won't do it again. By Gawd.

 

I want to do a beer mile. I love running as much as I love beer. I'm just not sure that I can love them together. LOL

 

Girl, just find your sweet spot. Run, run, run but still have beer. Maybe water during the run and good beer afterwards? I really don't know. Perhaps folks with more expertise on this subject could chime in.

 

(Note** I'm not into drinking games and the "partying" scene anymore. An awesome night in my mind is spending a night with good people, good conversation and drinking a few of my favorite craft beers while sharing and trying others favorites.)

That being said, my friends still think they are in college. One such friend had a dinner party so I brought sixer for the party and a sixer of stuff I like. Ended up using my sixer for Flip Cup and Beer Pong. Unfortunately that six pack was Ruination, Headhunter, and Sculplin. Burped hop leaves for 2 days.

.....Do I need new friends? Best damn game of beer pong ever though.

Can't stand wine. I only drank it cuz I'm forced to.

Sounds like you need to try that (once), but not something I would recommend. However a nice beer after heavy exercise can be an exquisite experience.

 

A friend who I share bottles with all the time and I love to break out the line, "It's a tasting...it's classy!"

 

Similarly, my coffee never lasts 10 minutes. Takes a couple minutes longer to make it! (French press and I like a long steep)

 

I don't chug my beer. I hug my beer.

I'm with you on that. I just started working overnights about 5 months ago, and it's become a habit for me to slam a big cup of Joe at midnight every night.

 

These guys ARE brewers. http://metrobrewing.com/ The guy on the left owns a very well respected successful brewery in Chicago that produces only Lagers. He's extremely technically minded and honestly a nice guy.

I've had a bad streak lately of buying IPAs from grocery stores where the hops have mellowed because of age/improper storage and they're nothing but malty dishwater by the time they get to my mouth. Might as well slam 'em as fast as possible.

 

I've never chugged any beer, period. Not because it's below me or anything, I have just never had a reason. I guess I don't have enough friends who do it, or something. Beer is like coffee to me. Sip it and enjoy it.

 

Chugging? No. Consuming a four or six pack I really like maybe a bit too fast? Yes. I am guilty of that. I feel like I can get in a groove with a beer and there's no stopping me.. It's usually a local IPA where I can down a growler in a 2 hour span (probably a conservative hour guess lol.)
